ELEVATORS

Trident has provided customers with innovative solutions to complex weapons and material handling problems.

Ammunition Handling System

  • Ammunition handling systems are a critical component onboard warships. Trident’s ammunition handling systems enable non-stop performance with highly reliable loading cycles and increase the safety of Sailors by eliminating the manual handling of ammunition. Flexible in our design, we can bring the benefits of our high-speed precision motion control systems to a wide variety spaces and locations.

Cargo-Weapons Elevators

  • The Cargo Weapons Elevator provides safe and reliable transportation of cargo and munitions in pallet loads, containers, and stowage cradles. They also provide for movement of electric forklift trucks and batteries between cargo holds and the deck levels served by the elevator. Typically, these elevators are dispatch-type platforms where operation of the elevator can only be initiated from the level at which the platform is located and have a rated load capacity of 12,000 pounds. Each elevator is comprised of one platform, suspended by four wire ropes which are connected to the hoist assembly.
  • LHA (AMERICA Class); LSD (HARPERS FERRY Class); T-AOE (SUPPLY Class)

Platform Lift

  • Elevator in a ship’s mission bay. Used to handle weapons and ordnance
  • LCS (FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE Classes); LSD (HARPERS FERRY Class)

Stores Elevators

  • Stores elevators provide vertical movement of individual pallet loads of provisions between handling areas and freeze, chill, and dry provision storerooms. Typically, these elevators are dispatch-type platforms where operation of the elevator can only be initiated from the level at which the platform is located and have a rated load capacity of 12,000 pounds. Each elevator is comprised of one platform, suspended by four wire ropes which are connected to the hoist assembly.
  • CVN (AMERICA Class); DDG (ZUMWALT Class); LSD (HARPERS FERRY Class); OPC (HERITAGE Class); T-AKE (LEWIS and CLARK Class)
